Infinite Hero was founded in 2011 to drive innovation, accessibility and collaboration among organizations combating the most critical issues facing the returning military community. The intention behind Infinite Hero Foundation was to create a new model of support for veterans programs addressing PTSD, TBI and accessibility to medical advancement and technology that are both innovative and measurable. By vetting and funding programs that address these specific issues that meet our standards of support through a rigorous grant process, we are able to operate with very minimal overhead and channel additional resources to help our heroes.

Since the Foundation’s inception, we have granted nearly $2 million to ten programs ranging from counseling services for children with parents suffering from PTSD to research in preventative therapy for pre-deployed service members using virtual reality to build resilience to PTSD. There is no cost to any veterans who participate in any of our funded programs. Examples of past organizations that have received grants include:

o   Airpower Foundation, which provided Chief Warrant Officer 5 (Ret.) Gary Linfoot with a bionic exoskeleton – he was the first military veteran to receive an Ekso suit for personal use. Later this month, we will be presenting $200,000 to two brain treatment centers doing cutting edge treatments in PTSD and TBI recovery.

o   The Armed Forces Foundation’s School Counseling Program, which utilizes support, prevention and intervention strategies to support the children of military personnel and their families with a focus on stress, trauma and PTSD-related issues.

o   Heartbeat – Serving Wounded Warriors Scuba Warriors program, which provides critical physical and mental health healing to members of the military community through underwater diving.

o   Rebuilding America’s Warriors (R.A.W.), which is dedicated to providing free reconstructive surgery to wounded and disfigured Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans.

o   The USC Institute for Creative Technologies, which provides a psychological fitness training option to build resilience in pre-deployed service members that may decrease the incidence of PTSD and other conditions.

o   Semper Fi Fund ($300,000), IAVA ($200,000) and the Vail Veterans Program ($125,000) have also received funding from Infinite Hero Foundation.
