Veterans Serving Veterans
"Heroes Of The Stage"
ABOUT US
Veterans Serving Veterans “Heroes of the Stage” is the biggest military fundraising concert and telethon that will benefit three major military non-profits. One non-profit is UCLA’s Operation Mend, an organization that performs plastic surgery for veterans that were wounded from their military services in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. The other two non-profits that will benefit from this event will help today’s veterans in obtaining their DD214, with housing, employment and many more services so veterans don’t have to face homelessness. According to a new investigation by the Department of Veterans Affairs, 22 veterans who suffer from PTSD commit suicide every day. Trained service dogs that cost $5,000 each will help save these veterans lives. The non-profits that benefit from this event will have to show that 90% of the money will go to the programs that directly help the veterans and their families.
Veterans Serving Veterans concert and telethon is coordinated by producer/director Gilbert Adler (“Valkyrie,” “Superman Returns” and “Starsky & Hutch”), Deborah C. Danker former vice president of the board of directors of Operation Stand Down, Nashville, LLC and owner of Danker & Danker PR/Marketing. Travis McVey a Marine Veteran, Owner of Heroes Vodka, partner with Lipman Brands and author of the book “Heroes of the Stage.” Jim Diekhoff, head of production for this event, has years of experience in the music and entertainment industry. Jim has worked on CMA, CMT and Dove Awards. His company designed the stage for NPT specials, Memorial Day and July 4th. Jim’s knowledge and understanding on how to develop this concert is extensive.
We firmly believe giving back to these men and women will create a strong foundation for their lives. Everyone has a role to play in making sure veterans return home to the tools and resources they need to be successful. Neighborhood organizations, businesses, nonprofits, policy makers, and, Country music fans can all work together to help men and women in uniform.
